Quaint restaurant on the Sydney Pier. We had a great table with a view of the harbour. The clam chowder was really tasty. We shared a bowl. My son had salmon fish and chips and I had halibut fish and chips. It was really good. The portions were very big. We probably could have shared a fish and chips instead of ordering a plate each and saved $30.00 We took a whole order in a take home container. It was costly. It was a very good meal but probably one of the most expensive casual lunches I've ever had. With a couple drinks it was $93.00 with the tip. It's expensive everywhere on Vancouver Island so this is probably close to typical but a little on the high side.
Came for dinner with my wife where we were seated on the outside patio which was heated and covered due to the cooler wet weather. I had the clam chowder (upsized to bowl) with 2 crab cakes and it was delicious. Definitely recommended if you are in the area.
Excellent friendly service! Great food and right on the ocean. What's not to love about this place!
sat down with a friend at the picnic table adjacent to the restaurant this morning to enjoy a mid- cycle ride coffee. after about 2 minutes the outdoor speakers facing the public pier were turned up to about 3 times their normal volume. went inside and politely asked that their music be turned down, there were no customers outside. the staff member didn't look up, began laughing, and asked "are you serious, we pay rent on this place". awkward, and completely unnecessary treatment of the public.
Very cozy little restaurant located on the pier at the end of Beacon Avenue. Went with my family and the service was great, the waitress was very friendly and quick. The fish and chips were "The best fish and chips I've ever had" and the beer and wine selection was quite good. However, the burger was not very good and wasn't recommended by the family member who had it, so maybe have seafood instead.
