Cashier at the cafe couldn't be bothered by finishing my transaction... pointed at the printer and told me to take my own receipt? As she was walking away... I might as have well rang my own purchase.
Its a ride of a lifetime. You see islands, oceans possibly whales. Great choices of food on board. Easy access to multiple islands and easy to get on and off. Not sure how prices work is about 70$ for single car and passenger to Victoria but the view is worth it specially summer time. Go enjoy the ride
Very nicely built. The ticket machines are very easy to operate. All you have to do is get the ticket and wait for the Ferry. There are screens there that show you if the Ferry is coming on time or if there's a delay. When Ferry arrives, they open the door and you can enter. The whole process is very smooth. I went by foot, so I can't talk much about how it works when you go by car.
Complete and utter joke of a company. 3 sailing wait (6 hours to get to Vancouver when it is literally 40km from Victoria) and they cant even pull a ferry from a less popular route, a backup ferry or even buy a new ferry for the Victoria-Vancouver route when they make millions off you each year, $859.3 million in revenue in 2017 to be exact. Somehow they say they dont make enough money to do it yet they can simply raise the price of a ticket by $5 over a long weekend and make extra revenue off you. If there was any other option to get your car over I would recommend it but unfortunately the BC government allows this to happen to its citizens and tourists from elsewhere. So disgusting #buildabridgeThe best part is that if you complain to customer service they will do absolutely nothing.
Good atmosphere in the waiting area for foot passengers and comfortable seating. Take a minute to look out at the straight while you're aboard! Saw some porpoise last time I went across to Vancouver
